Blog Details

It is the bounden duty and obligation of the Court to carefully discern the legislative intention and articulate the same.Legislature has given an option to the parties before the Consumer Forums to either personally appear or be represented by an 'authorised agent' or by an advocate. Legislature has permitted authorised agents to appear on behalf of the complainant-Courts cannot compel the consumer to engage the services of an advocate.
